Alex conducts policy research and analysis on myriad issues before the City Council. He prepares briefings for and staffs Councilmember Rosendahl in meetings of the City Council and the Budget and Finance Committee. Alex also serves as the lead staff for developing environmental policy and implementing environmental projects in the district. Additionally, Alex manages the design and content of the CD11 website.
Alex began his career in public affairs as an
intern with CD11, where he learned the ropes of the city's legislative
process. Alex has also worked in Washington DC at the World
Resources Institute, an
environmental think tank, where he developed the business
case for corporations to undertake sustainable practices. He
also spent four years at the helm of his own business,
an entertainment production company specializing in
drug- and alcohol-free events for teenagers.
Alex graduated with honors from UCLA where he majored
in history and public affairs. He remains an
active Bruin by volunteering for the UCLA Alumni Association
and its scholarship programs. He enjoys playing
pickup soccer games and spending time in his backyard
in Silver Lake.
